{"id":13226,"date":"2024-12-02T14:06:01","date_gmt":"2024-12-02T14:06:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/?p=13226"},"modified":"2024-12-02T14:06:03","modified_gmt":"2024-12-02T14:06:03","slug":"kongra-star-social-affairs-committee-solves-social-problems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/kongra-star-social-affairs-committee-solves-social-problems\/","title":{"rendered":"Kongra Star Social Affairs Committee solves social problems"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Kongra Star Social Affairs Committee solves the problems faced by everyone, especially women, children and people with special needs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Qamishlo &#8211;<\/strong> The Social Affairs Committee formed by <a href=\"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/tag\/kongra-star\/\">Kongra Star<\/a> in North and East Syria in 2019 carries out activities for everyone, especially <a href=\"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/category\/women\/\">women<\/a>, children and people with special needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NuJINHA spoke to Leyla Husey\u00een of the management of the committee about the activities of the committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u2018Our aim is to organize society\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Social Affairs Committee is an autonomous committee based on <a href=\"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/category\/democracy\/\">democracy<\/a> and equality. We hold seminars for women, children and people with special needs. We also develop projects for them. Our aim is to organize society.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u2018Our second aim is to eradicate the patriarchal mindset from society\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The goal of the committee is to solve social problems, Leyla Husey\u00een stressed, adding: \u201cOur second aim is to eradicate the patriarchal mindset from society because violence against women and children was on the rise before the revolution in <a href=\"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/regions\/rojava\/\">Rojava<\/a>. We have held awareness-raising seminars and activities to destroy the patriarchal mindset.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Activities for individuals with disabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Social Affairs Committee has a committee combating violence against women. \u201cThe members of this committee visit families every month. It also holds awareness-raising activities to eliminate violence against women. It monitors many social issues such as divorce, early marriage and gender-based violence. It also offers painting and music courses to children and provides treatment to individuals with disabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u2018We defend the women\u2019s revolution\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking about their activities in 2025, Leyla Husey\u00een said, \u201cWe have a plan for 2025. We will visit families to raise awareness. We will organize more seminars and educational activities and keep providing treatment to individuals with disabilities. The revolution in Rojava, also known as women\u2019s revolution, has given many opportunities for women to enjoy their rights.
