It opened a furniture store named \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/coops\/star-furniture-store\/\">Star<\/a>\u201d in the city two months ago to promote <a href=\"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/category\/women\/\">women\u2019s<\/a> economic empowerment. NuJINHA spoke to Asya Osman, member of the Women\u2019s Economy, about the store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u2018We aim to promote women\u2019s economic empowerment\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0\u201cWe opened the store to increase women\u2019s participation in the labour force,\u201d Asya Osman said, adding, \u201cWe have already put many agricultural projects into practice and now we aim to promote women\u2019s participation in the business. We have rented the building to open a furniture store for a long time. Despite financial difficulties, we managed to open it two months ago. Women make furniture in the city of <a href=\"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/cities\/qamishlo\/\">Qamishlo<\/a> and we sell them at the store.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u2018Women should be active in the labour force\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Women should be active in the labour force, Asya Osman stressed. \u201cThe store opens from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Every day, many people visit the store to buy furniture for their houses. We wish success to all women in the labour force and call on all women to participate in the labour force.
